Why should I have Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a tool to help you address various issues in your life.  Hypnosis allows you to concentrate deeply and focus on what you want to change.  When you are hypnotised you become deeply relaxed.  That alone can be very therapeutic, especially for people with High Blood Pressure, as often people have never relaxed so thoroughly before, and relaxation is good for so many conditions.  However what I use hypnosis for is to help people to focus on achieving change. When people are hypnotised they are more responsive to positive suggestion, and they can often see things in a clearer light.

When people come to see me for a session we spend at least half or more of the session formulating what changes they would like to achieve in their lives and the remainder of the session in hypnosis helping them to achieve those changes. So, if you want to make changes in how you act and think about yourself, then Hypnosis is one of the best tools to do it with.

So, what is Hypnosis like?

Most people go into hypnosis every day without even realising it.  It is a natural state not unlike day dreaming, and many people liken it to that pre-sleep phase that many people go through before they finally drop off to sleep. When you are in hypnosis, you are fully aware of everything that is going on around you.   I will help you to become very relaxed, and then uses positive suggestions to help you to change your attitudes or belief patterns.

In that very relaxed state, you can focus more easily, tuning out other distractions and choose to accept suggestion more readily.   If you have committed to change, you will find that you can readily accept suggestion and positive and permanent changes occur.
